PADI Rescue Diver Course
The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the most popular and enjoyable courses we offer. The aim of this course is to make you a better and safer, diver and buddy. The emphasis is on avoiding problems, but we also practise the correct response to a variety of possible scuba diving emergencies.
We also offer the PADI Rescue Referral option with overseas completion.
- Personal Rescue Diver manual and dive slate
- 5 theory sessions
- 4 or 5 pool sessions where you complete 10 scuba diving rescue exercises followed by 1 day completing 4 Open Water Rescue scenarios. Alternatively the course can take place over one weekend.

- Certification as a PADI Rescue Diver
- This is valid for life but regular practise sessions are highly recommended to maintain your skills. You are welcome to join us on future Rescue Diver courses as a way of maintaining your skills at no extra cost.
- The next level is the first professional level of the PADI system of diver education, PADI Divemaster. Alternatively you can go down the non professional route and become a PADI Master Scuba Diver.

- Proof of PADI Junior or full PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent certification
- Successful completion of a CPR and first aid course within the past two years. We offer the Emergency First Response course which fulfils this requirement

- 3 - 4 evenings and one full day or alternatively one weekend.

- We use several pools in Wandsworth and Lambeth in South West London including Tooting Leisure Centre, Wimbledon Leisure Centre and Putney Leisure Centre. The Open Water sessions are at Wraysbury Lake just outside London. The dives can also be completed on some of our overseas trips including Nuweiba in March and Marsa Alam in June.
