Dive Wimbledon Christmas Party - Suunto D4i computer special - 2012 Red Sea Liveaboard
Dear Divers,
It is starting to feel like we are racing towards Christmas as our dive shop has become very busy with dive equipment and Christmas Vouchers sales. These vouchers can be for any value or any course. We also have a special on Suunto D4i dive computers in any colour and are selling these for £310 each until Christmas or £460 with transmitter.
Dive Liveaboard 2012: Ken Powell has been busy putting together a few trips for next year both here and abroad but the first to be released is a great ed Sea Liveaboard diving the Wrecks of the Northern Red Sea including the Thistlegorm, Rosalie Moller, Giannis D and Carnatic etc. The trip will be from the 3-10 November 2012 and all the information is below this mail. Places are limited so please let us know soon if you would like to join us.

Cost : £20 payable in advance which covers the three course meal. Club members, instructors and DMs are free.
RSVP : We have been limited to 50 people by space so please RSVP to confirm you will be coming and so the pub can cater for the right number of people. This includes the Divemasters and Instructors who always assume I know they will turn up :-) . I will email out the menu options once I know who will be attending.

Join us aboard the 108 ft luxury dive boat Whirlwind, voted ‘Liveaboard of the Year’ 2009 for an unforgettable week diving the iconic wrecks of Egypt’s Northern Red Sea. From the mighty Thistlegorm, Rosalie Moller, Giannis D and Carnatic all teeming with prolific marine life, to the pulsating splendor of the coral reefs that took many of these ships to the bottom - this underwater adventure has it all. This is a recreational wreck trip for 20 divers with Open Water Advanced certification and above, having your Deep Speciality will ensure you get more out of the deeper dives, but this is not essential.
This trip package costs £1,145, it includes return flights from Gatwick to Sharm el Sheikh, airport transfers, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, soft drinks and hot beverages, accommodation in twin berth cabins, five days diving with up to four dives a day, use of a 12L cylinder with air-fills and weights. You'll need to buy an entry visa for Egypt when on arrival at Sharm Airport, this costs £15. A £300 deposit is required to book a place, the balance is payable 12 weeks before the trip , Friday, 10 August 2012.
The following supplement charges apply to cylinder upgrades and Nitrox fills:
15L cylinder hire - £35 for the week.
12L & 15L Nitrox fills - £80 for the week.
Manifolded twin-set hire - £85 for the week.
Twin-set Nitrox fills - £130 for the week.
Whirlwind is 'rebreather friendly'. Rebreather cylinder prices and consumable costs to follow with full trip details.
Additional costs, getting to and from Gatwick Airport - about £20 each way taxi sharing based on four travelling from Kingston. Alternatively, going by train from Kingston - about £13 each way. Airport parking if you choose to drive yourself and leave your car at the Gatwick Airport. Spending money for food & drinks at Gatwick & Sharm Airports. Beers and other alcoholic drinks you consume while aboard Whirlwind. At the end of the last full day (Thursday), we will being eating dinner ashore, the cost of this meal & drinks are not included. Any branded merchandise you buy on board Whirlwind or other gifts you purchase in Sharm el Sheikh. Overseas dive and equipement insurance. Hiring items of dive gear. Tips for the Whirlwind crew are at your discretion.
