PADI Self Reliant/ Solo Diver Specialty Course
This course is an introduction to self-reliant diving that helps student divers develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to rely on themselves first, whether or not they are diving with a partner, including:
- The value and application of the buddy system.
- The philosophy of, and motivation for, diving without a partner.
- Potential risks of diving alone, and how to manage those risks.
- The value of equipment redundancy and what back-up equipment is needed.
- Dive planning and gas management.
- Knowledge development session
- 3 qualifying dives
- Maximum depth 30 metres.

- Complete standard PADI paperwork and medical statement
- Complete knowledge review after the theory session

- Certification as a PADI Self Reliant Speciality Diver
- With 5 specialties and the PADI Rescue Diver course you can apply to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver

- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Minimum 100 logged dives

- Chepstow, Vobster Quay, Stoney Cove or boat dives off Portland, Swanage or Brighton or on an overseas holiday with Dive Wimbledon.
