What is PADI?

The Professional Association of Diving Instructors or PADI is the world’s leading scuba diving training organization with more than 5300 dive schools and resorts worldwide with up to 70% of the worlds divers taking a PADI course when they learn to dive.
 

PADI Open Water Referral Course

The PADI Open Water Referral course is the ideal beginner's scuba diving course if you are going abroad to dive. This course covers all the theory and pool skills needed to become a fully qualified PADI Open Water Diver. It gives you the flexibility to complete the course with 4 dives at a later date here in the UK, on holiday with Dive Wimbledon, or on your own holiday

  • Personal Open Water manual, dive tables and logpack
  • 5 theory modules
  • 5 pool modules
  • Small classes
REQUIREMENTS
  • Read PADI Open Water Diver manual
  • Watch PADI Open Water course DVD
  • Complete Knowledge Reviews.
COMPLETION
  • Referral form valid for a year.
  • 4 dives required with a PADI Instructor on your own holiday.
  • Alternatively 4 dives with Dive Wimbledon in UK.
  • Or with Dive Wimbledon in  Nuweiba in March, Marsa Alam in June, Dahab in September or our other holidays in the Red Sea.

  • 1 Weekend (Weekdays occasionally available)
  • 2 - 4 Wednesday evenings. These sessions are for those short on time so move at a faster pace than at weekends
LOCATION
  • We use several pools in Wandsworth, Kingston and Lambeth in South West London including Putney Leisure Centre, Tooting Leisure Centre, Streatham Leisure Centre, Southfields Community College and Wimbledon Lesiure Centre in London.

This weekend we had 13 students completing the PADI Open Water Referral course with Dive Wimbledon. We divided the class in to 3 groups to keep the ratios low and the personal service we like to provide. Well done to David, Gillian, Lauren, Florence, Patrick, Magdalena, James, Brandon, Michael, Emma, Luisa and Fiannetta.
