PADI Junior Rescue Diver Course

The PADI Junior Rescue Diver course is one of the most popular and enjoyable courses we offer. The aim of this course is to make you a better and safer, diver and buddy. The emphasis is on avoiding problems, but we also practise the correct response to a variety of possible scuba diving emergencies.

We also offer the PADI Rescue Referral option with overseas completion.

  • Personal Rescue Diver manual and dive slate
  • 5 theory sessions and 4 or 5 practise pool sessions where you complete 10 scuba diving rescue exercises followed by 1 day completing 4 Open Water Rescue scenarios. Alternatively the course can take place over one weekend.
  • Complete standard PADI paperwork and medical statement
  • Read the PADI Rescue Diver manual
  • Watch the PADI Rescue Diver DVD
  • Complete 5 Knowledge Reviews
  • Certified as a PADI Junior Rescue Diver
  • Valid for life but regular practise sessions are highly recommended to maintain your skills. You are welcome to join us on future Rescue Diver courses as a way of maintaining your skills at no extra cost.
  • Proof of PADI Junior Advanced Open Water or equivalent certification
  • Successful completion of a CPR course within the past two years. We offer the Emergency First Response course which fulfils this requirement
  • Minimum 12 years of age
  • 15 year olds can complete the full PADI Rescue Diver course
  • £299 including manual or Elearning

  • 3 - 4 evenings and one full day or alternatively one weekend.
  • We use several pools in Wandsworth and Lambeth in South West London including Tooting Leisure Centre, Wimbledon Leisure Centre and Putney Leisure Centre. The Open Water sessions are at Wraysbury Lake just outside London. The dives can also be completed on some of our overseas trips including Hurghada in March.
