Malta - 14-20th June 2010
As some of you will know – I’ve fallen in love with the wreck diving out in Malta & Gozo
At every depth range it has some of the best wreck diving in the world, it’s cheap and laid back, and in my opinion, represents a great value alternative to the Red Sea
So we figured it was time to arrange a Dive Wimbledon holiday!
Divewise is based in Paceville, right on the central East coast of Malta, so it’s perfectly situated for everything
We’ll be staying B&B at the Hotel Valentina http://www.hotelvalentina.com/index.htm which is minutes away from Divewise and is a modern luxurious Hotel with air conditioning and en-suite in every room
We will be visiting all the top dive sites including: The P29, The Rozi, The El Farood, HMS Maori, The Gozo Ferries, The Imperial Eagle & The Statue Of Christ, The Blue Hole & Inland Sea.
These really are some of the best wreck dives in the world in the recreational range
We’ll tailor the itinerary to people’s preferences and to give you the best possible diving for the conditions (wind etc)
There will be a mixture of boat and shore diving, many of the sites are accessible from the land
Towards the end of the week, we’ll look to do some of the deeper sites for those who have a Deep Speciality or would like to complete one on the holiday?
This is the perfect location to combine Wreck & Deep Specialities – speak to Roger if you’d be interested?
I will be guiding all the dives personally, and for those doing courses, the teaching will be relaxed, because the superb wrecks do most of the work for you and we’ll have plenty of time J
For those who’d like things a little more laid back, you can always chill out and take some photographs on the house reef and search for the many octopuses hidden amongst the rocks.
Some of the dives like the Blue Hole are scenic reef dives, as opposed to wrecks, but are too good to miss.
In the evening, Paceville comes alive and there are many bars and clubs for those who fancy a good night out.
As Divewise customers, you automatically get 25% discount on all food and drinks at the excellent local bar & restaurant: Huggins, which is our usual lunch haunt and where most evenings start out.
The holiday includes B&B at the Hotel Valentina for 6 nights, a ten dive standard package at Divewise and return flights with the excellent Air Malta
This really is a top quality trip: A great airline with sensible flight times, a lovely hotel and the best dive centre on the islands
The weather in Malta in June is consistently 30 degrees, warm and sunny
The total cost will be £695 for the week
We are limited to 10 spaces and require a £300 deposit to book the hotel and your flights
The balance will be due 4 weeks before departure.
