FARNE ISLANDS – 2nd – 4th JULY 2010
Diving with Sovereign Diving, from Seahouses Harbour, Northumberland.
Sovereign Diving offers superb diving around the Farne Islands and Northumberland Coastline, with beautiful cliff faces that are covered with life and the wrecks of various ships. Diving in some of the clearest water in the country we will have the opportunity to dive and play with grey seals from the largest seal colony in the North Sea.
Potential Dive Sites;
- The wreck of the Somali lying at 30m off Beadnell Point.
- The wreck of the Abessinia lying at 18m
- The Pinnacles
- The Hopper, a sheer cliff wall down to 30m dominated by the presence of the seals
The Sovereign boats are fully equipped for divers with; Emergency 1st Aid Kits, Oxygen, Tea & Coffee facilities and a dive lift J. The B & B’s are owned and operated by the same family as the boats and have Kit storage and drying facilities.
Ideally you should have previous UK diving experience and be qualified to at least AOW to make the most of the dives on this trip. Each diver must carry a whistle or DiverAlert, SMB and Reel (and know how to deploy from depth).
The cost for 3 Days Diving (Friday to Sunday) and 3 Nights Accommodation (Thursday to Saturday) will be
£225 for Club members & £240 for non-members.
Accommodation for the Sunday night is available at an additional £27pp
Tank (Air tanks only) Hire is available at £42 for the 3 days, plus air fills from Sovereign Diving
